Joana Rita is an antidisciplinary artist, researcher and community facilitator working across performance, visual arts, and poetry. Their work centers practices for inhabiting damaged ecologies and imagining liveable lives particularly through the lens of gender, trauma, chronic illness and ecological entanglements. They shapeshift between theory and practice to activate magic, the sensing body and collective imagination.
